Hey Scooter (aka. Dan the Man)!

Hey Scooter (aka. Dan the Man)!

We’d like to thank everyone who came out to the What’s Cooking Garden Party Fundraiser.  We hope you had fun and enjoyed the entertainment, the company, the food, and of course the art!  You can see Dan had a great time on his tricked out scooter.  Dan is the Artistic Director for the Berea Arts Fest, and his visions are what we all encounter at our events (ex. Front and Center artwalk, Fundraiser, Arts Fest, and more!).  Dan produces extraordinary designs and concepts every time we organize an event.  If you see Dan, tell him thank you for his visions and ability to bring “the fun”.  OH, and give him a high five!

Anthony Kleem grew up in a small college town in Ohio, living with his parents and seven siblings.  Anthony’s parents encouraged his enthusiasm for the arts.  Anthony attended the University of Akron and received his Masters in Education.  He resides in Berea, Ohio with his wife, Mary, and their five children.  New England, Eastern Pennsylvania and the rural settings of the Midwest remain the inspiration of many of Kleem’s paintings.

“My work method is intricate, yet simple.  I like my paintings to be well balanced with structures, patterns and colors.  In them I try to express my impressions of a bygone era of wholesomeness, warmth, and old-fashioned values.  My love for the American flag is evident; I usually have Old Glory somewhere in my paintings.”
