Gabrielle Zemaitis, 2017 B.A.F. Scholarship Winner

scholarship winnerThe Berea Arts Fest would like to congratulate Gabrielle Zemaitis on being our 2017 Scholarship winner.  She is a recent graduate from Polaris Career Center and Olmsted Falls High School. She has become proficient in many Adobe programs including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.  Gabrielle has many awards and honors including: Member of the National Technical Honors Society, Scholar Athlete, Co-captain of the high school golf team, Varsity letter winner and Magna Cum Laude.  Gabrielle aspires to specialize in a career in animation or illustration.  We wish Gabrielle the best of luck as she prepares for her college journey.


2016 Berea Arts Fest Scholarship Winner: Emily Albert

Congratulations to Emily Albert, the 2016 Berea Arts Fest Scholarship winner.  Emily Albert is a talented young professional with growing experience in: entrepreneurship, research, visual arts, multi media, and environmental studies. She has an impressive 4.6 GPA and is a member of the National Honors Society. She is also a member of the Honor Roll & Principals Roll. Emily has many achievements including but no limited to: Ohio Governors youth art exhibition, Scholastic arts awards, Cleveland Clinic Expressions, and many more.
Emily will be attending the Savannah College of Art & Design.

Paige Larson – BAF Scholarship Award Winner

Paige Larson is the 2015 recipient of the Berea Arts Fest Scholarship. She is a recent graduate of North Olmsted High School and Polaris Career Center where she majored in the Interactive Multimedia Program. Her activities include: Polaris Student Ambassador, Yearbook staff, Key Club, Computer Club, Literary Magazine, Chess Club, Theater Anime Club, Oboba Talent Show, and the Environmental Club. Her Honors include: Gold and White Renaissance Scholar at North Olmsted High School, Certificate of Excellence and Outstanding Student at Polaris Career Center, and Member of National Technical Honor Society. She has started classes at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she is persuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Marketing and Management.

Berea Arts Fest Awards Scholarship

Leah Windahl Arts Fest Inc. has awarded a $2,500 scholarship to Leah Windahl, a 2014 graduate of Berea-Midpark High School.
Leah, of Olmsted Falls, will attend Otterbein University where she will pursue a bachelor of fine arts degree in musical theater. At Berea-Midpark, she was a member of Drama Club, Speech & Debate Team, Concert Choir, Honor Choir, Show Choir, Marching Band, the All-Ohio Youth Choir, National Honor Society, the National Forensics League and Junior Achievement. She also was a Student Ambassador.
The Berea Arts Fest awards a scholarship each year to a graduating high school senior who plans a career in the arts.
Berea Arts Fest Inc., now in its 24th year, presents the annual Berea Arts Fest invitational art show on the second Sunday in September plus an Art Walk in downtown Berea in May and concerts at the Coe Lake Gazebo in the summer. This year’s Berea Arts Fest will be Sunday, Sept. 14 on the shores of Coe Lake. Admission is free.
